There are endless videos of dogs online doing a variety of bizarre and adorable things. If you’re one of those people who can’t get enough cute dog videos, you’ll love this clip of a baby wombat that acts just like a pup.
Wombats are small marsupials that are native to Australia—and they’re super cute! George, a baby Common Wombat was found on the side of a road, but now is in safe care by wildlife conservationist Tim Faulkner at the Australian Reptile Park. George has captured the hearts of hundreds of thousands of people because of his cuteness and because he acts exactly like a dog. In a short clip, uploaded by Bored Panda Animals, George happily runs behind a human, chews on socks, and sprints across a lawn, just like a typical dog.
George seems to be so convinced that he is a dog, no one has the heart to tell him otherwise. In the video, George the wombat runs happily around with Faulkner and even cuddles with him. Just like any other pup, George also enjoys a good belly scratch. It also appears that George loves being scooped up in a soft bag to sleep in while Faulkner cradles him just like a little baby. The video is close to gaining 300,000 views on YouTube and it’s easy to see why people love watching it. This wombat is especially adorable and deserves all the attention he can get.
This little guy isn’t the only animal that has traits of a dog. We’ve come across all types of animals that have seemed to develop the same characteristics as pups. Goliath the Baby Cow, for example, gained loads of attention on social media after his owner posted a photo of him lying on his living room couch. After saving the little calf from a dairy farm, owner Shaylee Hubbs raised him with her Great Dane in California. To protect the calf from coyotes, Hubbs allowed Goliath to sleep in a playhouse in their backyard. One day, the baby calf snuck into her home and went straight to the couch! That calf has got to be a puppy in a cow costume.
We love watching adorable videos of animals doing the unexpected. These animals are having the time of their lives and they deserve every second of it! We’ll keep an eye out for more delightful clips of animals acting just like man’s best friend.
