Instagram-famous Parisian makeup artist and beauty vlogger Magali Beauvue has made quite a stir in the world of social media with her talents. Known as the “Transformist,” Beauvue has the uncanny ability to transform herself with the aid of makeup into any celebrity like Rhianna, Chris Brown, Prince, Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, and even President Barack Obama. Some celebrities, like R&B crooner Maxwell, have even given her a shout out because her transformations are so accurate. Maxwell posted on her Instagram page – “@makeupmag you honor me” Wow!” Even Chris Brown posted her recreation of him on his page.
Although she primarily specializes in stylish makeup application for clients who attend weddings, pageants, and proms, Beauvue was inspired by fellow makeup artist @promisetamang to start doing celebrity transformations. She decided to challenge herself to become pop icon Michael Jackson. It was not an easy task, but it was a huge success with her 157k Instagram followers.
Beauvue’s notoriety has grown significantly, and her work as been featured on TMZ.com, Cosmo, and Daily Mail. Her most recent transformation of her neighbor’s five-year-old son Dylan into hip-hop star Drake was even highlighted on the Wendy Williams Show.
The process took about an hour, Beauvue informed Complex.com. “Because he’s a little boy, I couldn’t take too long on him . . . the transformation has to be fast!”
In the video, she fills out Dylan’s brows to make them more pronounced and bushy and gives him Drake’s requisite well-groomed beard. She uses contouring, shading, and highlighting to age him twenty plus years and exaggerates Dylan’s petite nose to resemble the Canadian rapper’s more mature proboscis. Beauvue extended Dylan’s hairline, lengthened his lips, and added shadow around the young tyke’s eyes to create Drake’s forlorn pout. The video concludes with Dylan imitating Drake’s awkward dancing to his summer hit “Hotline Bling.”
As told to Complex.com, Beauvue said that Dylan had a lot of fun being transformed into his idol. He looked into the mirror exclaiming, “Oh, I really look like Drake now!” Dubbed “Baby Drake,” Dylan is currently a bit of a celebrity himself. His cute transformation went viral and even caught the attention of daytime gossip maven Wendy Williams who said, “I got to tell you, you did a really good job French lady because when it’s all said and done . . . perfect, so good.”
With that kind of acclamation, Dylan is now convinced he is a “superstar in America.” The video is also a global sensation with fans from Germany and Nigeria showing their appreciation of the mini Drake impersonator, as Beauvue noted on her Instagram feed.
It remains to be seen how Drake, a.k.a Champagne Papi, feels about his adorable copycat. One burning question also remains: When will Beauvue create a video featuring mini Drake with mini Rhianna?
